Surge Fit is an energizing high-intensity interval training (HIIT) group fitness format designed to deliver fast results. A standard Surge Fit class typically runs for about 55 minutes. This workout distinguishes itself from traditional HIIT and weight training by integrating moves that repeat with the music, making it easier for participants to follow along and feel successful.
Cardio tracks within Surge Fit utilize athletic, dynamic, and three-dimensional movements such as traveling lunges, rotating mountain climbers, or plank jack burpees. Low-impact options are available for those who cannot perform high-impact movements. For equipment, participants generally need only dumbbells and a mat. Recommended dumbbell weights include a heavy set (10-15lbs), a medium set (8-10lbs), and a light set (3-5lbs).
