Corey Davis, a strength coach and owner of a private training facility in Georgia, developed the Forge, an innovative tool for Body Tempering. The Forge is recognized as a versatile tool for muscle recovery and is utilized by professional athletes across various sports, including Major League Baseball, the National Football League, and Strongman competitions.

The concept for the Forge originated in 2015 while Davis was working with Reese Hoffa, a three-time Olympian in the Shot Put. They identified muscle recovery as a critical area for improving athletic performance. This led them to explore Donnie Thompson's Body Tempering concept. Donnie Thompson, known for being the first powerlifter to total 3,000 pounds, introduced them to Body Tempering using steel pipes.

Upon implementing Body Tempering with steel pipes in their gym, they observed remarkable results. However, the use of steel pipes presented several challenges:
* Maintaining a variety of steel pipes ranging from 30 to 200 pounds consumed excessive space.
* Maneuvering heavy steel pipes (150-200 pounds) was cumbersome and posed a safety risk.
* The cost of acquiring a sufficient variety of weighted pipes was prohibitive.

The Forge was engineered to address these issues. It is a single, adaptable, easy-to-use, and safe Body Tempering product. The Forge itself weighs 30 pounds and is designed as a plate-loaded tube.

This design allows the Forge to accommodate individuals across the entire muscle mass spectrum. At its empty weight, the Forge is suitable for smaller muscles. The extensions on each side of the tube are compatible with standard weight and barbell dimensions, enabling variable weights based on individual needs. Athletes can add as much weight as required, up to a total of 230 pounds, to suit the size of the athlete and muscle group. Additionally, the rounded ends of the Forge can be used for targeted tempering, allowing for precise focus on specific areas requiring recovery.

The Forge eliminates the need for multiple steel pipes and the challenges associated with lifting heavy, unwieldy equipment. It is designed to be the only Body Tempering tool necessary, and its unique shape and compatibility allow for easy storage alongside barbells, saving both space and money.
