30 Minute Dumbbell HIIT Workout | Free Workout Friday

30 minute dumbbell hiit workout

Welcome to the first iteration of Free Workout Friday! We present you a 30 minute dumbbell HIIT workout and yes, the video is an hour long, but that's because of the warm up, cool down, and how this workout was made with our workout generator! Here's what to expect with this workout....

When we are doing HIIT training, we should be working at maximum output if we are doing HIIT. It's important to remember, HIIT is a massive strain on your body. So if you are doing HIIT workouts, you can't do more than two of them in a week if you are doing them at the highest level intensity. So it's important to remember, volume is incredibly crucial.

If we're trying to create the stimulus that we're trying to create when we're looking at HIIT workouts, we're gonna be looking at intervals that are longer than a minute with low amounts of rest in between with a goal of maximum output. When you're choosing loads, we wanna be able to make sure we work all the way through that minute. You don't want something so heavy that when you're doing it, that you get to 30 seconds, you're like, I can't do anything else. So if you are feeling like that in your HIIT intervals, you'll want to lower that weight a little bit as you're going through. In that minute, we're searching for somewhere 15 to 20 repetitions, whatever the exercise is, that tends to be the standard with a minute at our typical tempos. If you feel like you could have done more, if you feel like it wasn't stressful enough for you, you either A, weren't working hard enough, or B, that weight wasn't heavy enough.
