A deep commitment to sustainability is central to the brand. From using natural tree rubber and water-based inks to incorporating recycled plastic bottles into materials, the aim is to ensure the impact on the planet is as positive as the energy brought to the mats. Recycled PET is proudly used in a variety of products to help keep plastic out of oceans and landfills. Old plastic bottles are repurposed into an ultra-absorbent microfiber material used in combo mats, towels, bags, and bolsters. This "suede-like" material offers amazing grip, absorption, and cozy softness.
Renewable cork is also utilized for mats, wheels, and blocks, made using the outer bark of the cork oak tree. Cork trees are unique as they regenerate stripped bark, meaning no trees are cut down to harvest cork. Instead, the bark is stripped by hand every nine years to ensure each tree regenerates fully. Harvested cork oak trees can live up to 300 years. Cork is naturally anti-microbial, meaning it will not absorb odor and bacteria, and it increases its grip the warmer it gets, providing supportive, durable cushioning.
Natural rubber forms the base layer of many mats, offering a springy ride to cushion and protect joints. This sustainable, non-Amazonian natural tree rubber provides stable and supportive grip for every pose. Unlike foam base layers, natural rubber stays put on the floor and provides denser cushioning for optimal performance.
