Valuable concept, not for every use.
For exercises where a protruding spin lock bar is physically uncomfortable or interferes with range of motion, these are great, and I enjoy using them. However, the 8 TPI thread is slower to assemble than a spin lock or 2 inch loadable sleeve, so if you do a lot of drop sets, you might really want to consider 2.5 and 1.25 lb add on weights. The aluminum handle feels very similar to a fixed dumbbell knurl. If you own enough plates and want to save time, you should consider buying 2-3 pairs and set them up for your workout in advance.

These are great!
I bought a pair of these a couple months ago and just ordered 2 more pairs. They feel great and I haven't had any problem with them loosening up or anything. The knurling feels just right. I'll probably be buying a few more pairs in the future.

Great versatile dumbbell handles
I like that I have a made in USA alternative to spin lock dumbbells. The knurling is passive but grippy without biting into your hands. The included bolts are long enough for me to load 4 cheap 10 pound iron plates on each side and a 2.5 pound plate. If you are looking to make ridiculously heavy dumbbells for farmers walks or dumbbell rows you can fit 3 25 pound plates on each side. I also think it's fantastic that you can buy your own bolts so you can load up as much weight as you want.

The adjustable handles are well-designed and I appreciate the high level of machining. It is also very cool that you can buy standard bolts at a low cost to create smaller or larger dumbbells. I wouldn't say that changing weights is quick but I tend to only change them once before or during a workout. These have become my top pick, and I will be ordering additional sets.
