Installing rubber flooring
The short version
- Install over a clean, dry surface: concrete, carpet or hardwood.
- Interlocking tiles need no glue.
- For larger or permanent roll installs, use double-sided tape or flooring adhesive so seams don't shift.
- Cut with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge.
Cutting
Score the line several times with a sharp utility knife, then bend the rubber to finish the cut. Rolls ship with extra length, usually 10–12 inches and occasionally up to 2 feet, so you can trim to an exact fit.
